CREATIVE & DESIGN DIRECTOR

Brought on board to lead design for Nemo Tile, Co., a distributor of high-performance and design-driven products, serving residential, retail, and commercial interior clients for over 100 years. 

Led the design, documentation, and construction management of eight new and renovated retail showrooms and workplace projects for the Manhattan corporate headquarters and a satellite office in Carrara, Italy. I also designed and managed the logistics and construction of multiple trade show exhibits.

Recognized by established industry peers for elevating the brand through a design-focused approach, curating collections, educating sales teams, successful product launches, and merchandising tools, including display furnishing, collection brochures, product display boards, and A&D binders.

Specification, procurement, and installation oversight of FF&E for all projects.

SENIOR PROJECT DESIGNER / ASSOCIATE

Lead designer of a multidisciplinary team designing and implementing a cohesive headquarters for Time Inc., accommodating brands such as TIME, Fortune, People, InStyle, Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, Essence, and Sports Illustrated.

Received a 2016 Award of Excellence from CoreNet and a 2018 Honor Award from SARA NY Design Award.

SENIOR PROJECT DESIGNER / ASSOCIATE

Led design development and programming and collaborated with project teams on projects from concept to completion in various practice areas, including financial, real estate, and consulting services sectors, retail spaces, and strategy services. 

As a member of NY Office Design Leadership and several committees, instrumental in the development of next generation of design leaders and fostering a collaborative design community. Developed construction documentation and led furniture presentation, bid leveling, specifications, and installation.

Provided comprehensive design leadership and project management for a wide range of projects, including corporate and hospitality facilities. Ensured successful project outcomes through effective client communication, space planning, design development, collaboration, construction documentation, and organizational and creative, critical-thinking skills. Ensured smooth execution of design process from start to delivery and led the design of numerous corporate and wellness facilities with a focus on technology-based firms. Successfully managed design programming, planning, specifications, and construction project management. Built trusted client relationships and utilized strong problem-solving skills to drive project success. Effectively presented and gained support for design ideas and programming. As a valued, high-performing designer, relocated to New York after San Francisco office closed after 9/11.
